Hogan Carignan

Hogan Carignan is drawn from a 20-year-old, unirrigated bush-vine planting in Wellington on Oakleaf/Tukulu soils. Gentle handling and nine months in older French oak lend it an expressive character: vibrant ruby in colour, it opens with red and black cherry, violet and earthy fynbos aromas. The palate is medium-bodied yet tense, delivering fresh acidity, purée of dark berries, subtle pepper spice, and a clean, lingering dry finish. Elegant, site-specific, and ready to enjoy now but capable of further cellaring.
